The Victorian Government Land Monitor (VGLM) is responsible for providing independent assurance to the Victorian Government and community that land transactions conducted by government are accountable, transparent and follow legislation.
VGLM does this by administering the Victorian Government Land Transactions Policy (PDF, 11.0 MB).
The policy sets out the requirements that all government agencies must comply with when:
- selling, purchasing or leasing land
- making an offer of compensation
The requirements in the policy have been established to ensure Victorian Government land transactions are accountable, transparent, conducted with integrity and follow both legislation and government policy.
